COR2419. Valuation: Theoretical & Practical Implications in the M&A Environment

This session will provide an in-depth explanation of valuation theory from a certified valuation expert, as well as provide an “on the ground” perspective from an investment banker on valuation considerations for the M&A environment.

  • Identify the different standards of value used in the valuation profession and their applications.
  • Determine the various macro- and micro-economic inputs utilized to form an opinion of value.
  • Compare the differing valuation methods used by professionals to reach conclusions regarding value.
  • Distinguish perspectives on how specific methods of valuation are used within the M&A environment by buyers and sellers.
  • Identify valuation parameters within the current M&A environment impacting engineering and construction.
