How are you educating your board members and ensuring an effective onboarding process? Join us to learn how the finance team can support the onboarding and retention of successful board members, especially those who do not have experience using financial statements. We’ll also examine tools to help prepare and manage board communications, including financial reporting designed to help board members make good decisions and understand the financial picture. Using case studies, we’ll also illustrate ways to effectively convey a financial message to engage the board more meaningfully.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify ways to assess the board’s financial management knowledge and to educate and onboard new board members.
- Determine ways to use technology to prepare and manage board communications, responsibilities, and deadlines during the year for risk management.
- Choose the financial message that needs to be clearly conveyed to board members to support good decisions and to understand the financial picture.
