This session will cover how to develop and invest reserve strategies that align with an organization's goals, investment time horizon, and donor restrictions.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify an Investment Policy Statement that takes into account risk and return objectives for each reserve bucket.
- Use scenarios to quantify risk and return expections, along with investment benchmarks agreed upon by the investment management team and board members.
- Distinguish how time horizon and liquidity affect risk and return of different asset classes.
