NOT24SS06. Decoding the Giving Patterns of Affluent Americans: An Overview of the 2023 Bank of America Study of Philanthropy, presented by Bank of America Merrill Lynch
The Study is the ninth in a series of biennial reports on giving by ultra high net worth households in the United States. It is done in partnership with the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. It provides insights into the giving patterns, behaviors, and motivations of affluent American donors. Insights from the Study can help build the confidence and increase the success of nonprofit leaders when seeking transformational gifts from high-capacity donors.
Learning Objectives:
- Recognize how to structure fund raising and planned giving programs efforts to better align with Ultra High Net Worth / High Net Worth trends in giving and philanthropy, specifically with women and minorities.
- Identify key areas for improving revenue from these programs that fit better with the overall mission of the non-profit.
