WAS2303. I See You and I Celebrate You: The Power of Inclusion

People prosper when they can fully be themselves—when they feel welcome and don’t feel any pressure to keep parts of themselves hidden. That spirit of inclusion allows us to have better conversations, feel good about ourselves, our jobs and each other. Ultimately, inclusion drives growth for companies because it creates an environment where innovation thrives. In this session you’ll learn strategies for how to provide an environment of psychological safety, how to address an environment where you feel excluded, and ensuring that you’re not setting yourself up to be excluded.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify strategies to foster psychological safety: Participants will learn practical techniques and approaches to create an environment of psychological safety within their teams or organizations.
  • Identify and address exclusionary environments: This objective focuses on equipping participants with the skills to identify and address exclusionary environments within their workplace.
  • Recognize personal inclusion practices: Participants will explore strategies for enhancing their personal inclusion practices to avoid setting themselves up for exclusion. They will reflect on their own behaviors, biases, and assumptions that may unintentionally contribute to exclusionary dynamics. Through self-awareness exercises and interactive discussions, participants will learn how to challenge their biases, develop empathy, and create an inclusive mindset.
