WOM2117. What Great Male Allies and Mentors Do
David Smith, author of Good Guys and Athena Rising, shares the the research-based evidence and elements of excellent gender-inclusive allyship and mentorship, including many best practices. Participants learn the business case for male engagement in gender equality while integrating why it is good for both men and women. Using social science evidence, he explores the possible challenges of cross-gender professional relationships. Using his research and organizational best practices, he provides the "how to" for men, women, and organizational leaders who want to be intentional, inclusive, and excellent allies, leveraging mentorship, sponsorship, and workplace partnership to create a more diverse workforce.
