Krista Schipp
Krista Schipp, CPA, is a Director with more than 20 years of experience in providing income and transactional tax consulting for large public and privately held corporations as well as for a wide range of middle-market companies. Her broad range of experience includes working with companies in the high-tech, cannabis, e-commerce, biotechnology, manufacturing and distribution, construction, hospitality, and retail industries.
Krista’s core practice focuses on providing tax strategy, consulting, compliance and planning services to multi-state tax corporations, partnerships and LLCs. Through her career she has provided a variety of services to Fortune 100 and 500 clients, including sales/use tax system compliance and implementation, reverse audits, audit defense, nexus studies, taxability matrices, voluntary disclosure agreements, tax planning, and consulting.
Additionally, Krista consults with clients regarding state and local tax to identify tax savings opportunities as well as mitigate risks related to non-compliance exposure. Her knowledge working as a former state auditor has allowed her to help clients minimize assessments and to identify overpayments during the course of an audit. As a result, she has saved clients tens of millions of dollars through planning, tax compliance consulting, and audit assistance.
Prior to joining CohnReznick, Krista worked in the tax department of an international corporation, was a multi-state tax consultant for a Big Four firm, and was a sales and use tax auditor with the California State Board of Equalization.
