John Good is a Managing Director in EY's Americas Professional Practice Auditing. He is a firm subject matter resource for audits of financial statements of governments and audits performed in accordance with Government Auditing Standards and the Uniform Guidance . John is also EY's representative on the AICPA Governmental Audit Quality Center Executive Committee and the AICPA State and Local Government Expert Panel.

John performs or oversees a continuum of diverse activities designed to enhance the quality of the governmental audit practice. He monitors and participates in standard-setter and industry activities, communicates and publicizes standards and requirements, develops and teaches training, develops guidance and enables the government audit methodology, identifies and assesses engagement and practice risks, consults with and coaches engagement teams, designs and performs practice monitoring and engagement reviews, supports federal inspections and liaises with federal agencies and analyzes root causes of any audit deficiencies to improve audit quality.

Before serving in Professional Practice John served on financial statement and Single audits of large clients including several state governments. 

He is a CPA in Pennsylvania.
