Travis Armstrong is a partner in the Forensic and Financial Consulting Services Group at Hemming Morse. He assists clients on cases in the areas of economic damages, securities litigation, and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), in addition to performing forensic accounting and fraud investigations. In 2016, Travis was appointed to the American Institute of CPA's (AICPA) Forensic and Litigation Services (FLS) Committee. This 9-member committee provides technical and educational guidance to CPA practitioners who perform forensic accounting services, including investigations, economic damage analyses such as lost profits calculations, and a variety of other services. Additionally, Travis recently served as the Chair of the Economic Damages section of California Society of CPA's (CalCPA) Forensic Services Section (FSS) and currently serves on CalCPA's Council. Travis has testified as an expert witness in deposition and trial. Additionally, Travis has been engaged by government agencies to perform forensic accounting investigations in various industries, most notably, for-profit higher education. Travis is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF), and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). He received his B.A. in Business Economics with an emphasis in Accounting from University of California, Santa Barbara.
