Maria has been with the IRS for 16 years and is currently the Executive Assistant, Technical for the Pass Through Entity Practice Area in LB&I. Before coming to the IRS, Maria had 15 years of experience working in large and regional public accounting firms and multi-national corporations. At the IRS, Maria has been a Technical Advisor for Financial Accounting Issues, worked on the implementation of the Affordable Care Act and was Territory Manager for teams in DC, Virginia and Maryland. In her current role, Maria has overseen the implementation of the new centralized partnership procedures commonly referred to as BBA and now overseeing the initiation of LB&I’s Large Partnership Compliance program.
