With twenty-five years in information technology(IT), across five industries, Shawn brings a unique perspective to the oil and gas space.  Over the last fourteen years, he has been everywhere from the rig floor to the boardroom, and the New Mexico desert to rural China.  He has worked in or with eight countries on four continents in both onshore and offshore environments.  He is a student of culture, and believes if you understand where a person comes from and their experiences, then you can craft a message around technology that they will understand.  Getting people to buy in to the technology is a bigger hurdle than applying it.  He is passionate that IT can be a revenue stream for any business if allowed to apply meaningful technology by partnering with the business.  

In his spare time, he reads(on average 60 books a year), travels, and is learning Mandarin(or trying to).
