For over 35 years Andrew Carrington has been a pioneer in various technology endeavors and a highly successful serial entrepreneur. His early career focused on Advanced Avionics design; Space-based Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance; and the emergence of unmanned airborne systems. In the late 80's, Mr. Carrington was a pioneer in Advanced Graphics, Image Processing and Super Computer Design including his roll as an initial investor/developer with Pixar Computers, Silicon Graphics and the first RISC based semiconductors from INMOS (the "Transputer"). After leading one of the Washington areas leading technology incubators and investment companies for fifteen years, Mr. Carrington went on to lead a highly successful systems/software simulation company, Foresight Systems, a product utilized by the military and Fortune 100 companies to investigate and model complex dynamic systems. The product was a critical application for the software design for the Mars Rover at JPL, on the sensor collection system for the Large Hadron Collider at Cern, and the design of optical switches at such companies as Nokia and Ericcson. From 2003 to 2012 Mr. Carrington was CEO of the first OEM voice-based navigation and infotainment product company. For the past five years, Mr. Carrington has held the position of Chief of Innovation, Technology & Applications for the Pohanka Automotive Group where he has focused on a broad range of topics including next generation DMS applications, eLearning systems, focused data analytics for customer retention, system interoperability (DMS APIs and 3rd party integration), improved information security and PCI compliance, and financial impacts to and streamlining the merchant processing ecosystem.
