Scott Ballint is the Director, Enterprise Activities Practice Area of Large Business and International (LB&I). Scott provides executive leadership to employees who serve as subject matter experts for a broad range of LB&I tax issues, and who develop the most current technical positions on behalf of the IRS. The practice area provides technical tax expertise for IRS compliance strategies, for implementation of corporate tax legislation, and provides compliance assistance throughout LB&I and the IRS.

Prior to his current assignment, Scott served as the Director, Corporate Issues and Credits in the Enterprise Activities Practice Area, Director Field Operations (DFO) in the Eastern Compliance Practice Area and Northeastern Compliance Practice Areas. He also was the Assistant to the Deputy Commissioner LB&I, Acting DFO Northwest in the Communications, Technology & Media Industry and Acting Deputy Director for Pre-Filing and Technical Guidance.
