Julie A. Welch (Runtz), CPA, PFS, CFP®, is a shareholder and Director of Taxation with Meara Welch Browne, P.C. in Kansas City. She served on the faculty of the AICPA National Tax Education Program for 24 years, served on the AICPA's planning committee for the 'Tax Planning Strategies for the High-Income Individual' conference where she is also a speaker, and serves as a frequent panelist for the All-Star Tax Series broadcast by Edward Jones. She speaks nationally on tax-saving topics and, in addition to co-authoring 101 Tax Saving Ideas, writes for several financial planning and business publications. In 2015, she was awarded the AICPA Sid Kess Award for Excellence in Continuing Education.
