Taylor has more than 18 years of information technology (IT) experience. The majority of his experience was acquired with multiple public education organizations on the Secondary Education and Higher Education levels. Taylor has worked in multiple roles within IT from security and compliance, all the way up to Chief Information Officer (CIO). He has been a network administrator, system administrator over multiple platforms as well as an Information Security Officer (ISO).

He focuses on cybersecurity, IT audits, system security, policy, procedure, business continuity and disaster recovery reviews and electronic banking review testing for financial institutions and institutions of higher learning.

Before joining Forvis, Taylor was the CIO at the largest community college in the state of Mississippi, Hinds Community College. In addition to being a CIO, Taylor was either the Assistant Director of Technology, or Director of Technology in the two previous education organizations he worked for. Between these positions, he had the responsibilities of leading network and datacenter administration teams, systems services teams, communications team, security and compliance, and he was responsible for system audits, and network accreditation.

He holds Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Certified Associates of Project Management (CAPM) certifications.

He is a graduate from Mississippi State University with a B.S. of Interdisciplinary Students in the areas of Computer Science, History, and Educational Psychology. He has a M.S. of Information Technology Management from Western Governors University and is finishing his Doctor of Education degree with an emphasis on Curriculum and Instruction from Liberty University.
