Ben is a CPA and Executive Pastor of Highlands Community Church.  Formerly an Accounting Manager with World Vision, he provided technical accounting and reporting for international grants, gifts-in-kind, and other areas. After working at KPMG, Ben's 13 years with World Vision gave him extensive experience with GIK valuation. He has presented on GIK issues at several conferences including the Washington State Society of CPA's and Accord's annual meetings. Ben recently participated with World Vision and InterAction in advocating with the California legislature to address GIK valuation issues, and he provided feedback on ASU 2020-07 to the FASB's GIK working group. He also serves as the Board Chair for Special Hope Network.
