Niladri Mukherjee

Niladri Mukherjee is a Managing Director and Head of Portfolio Strategy for the Chief Investment Office (CIO) within Bank of America Corporation supporting Merrill and Bank of America Private Bank. In this role, he leads a team of portfolio strategists and investment analysts in providing investment, portfolio positioning and implementation advice to advisors and high and ultra high net worth clients.

Niladri helps set the wealth management businesses’ tactical asset allocation and investment policy decisions as a voting member on the Global Wealth & Investment Management Investment Strategy Committee (GWIM ISC). He collaborates with BofAGlobal Research, independent research firms and third-party managers to identify macro trends and investment opportunities and is responsible for delivering the top of the house investment thinking. He is a major contributor to the firm’s
investment thought leadership through publications and client and advisor meetings. He has appeared on various media outlets such as CNBC and Bloomberg.

Niladri has held several leadership positions at Merrill including head strategist for the Western Division and ETF strategist for Global Wealth Management. Prior to joining Merrill, he worked at Dover Management, an asset management firm, where he was a portfolio manager for a long/short hedge fund and a large cap mutual fund. He has also worked at KPMG LLP’s Financial Services group in New York and at New Delhi-based Infrastructure Professionals Enterprise, where he advised government agencies on issues related to urban infrastructure development, financial restructuring and policy formulation.

Niladri earned his M.B.A. degree in Finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business and a B.S. degree in Physics from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi. He also serves on the Advisory Board of the Stevens School of Business at Stevens Institute of Technology in New Jersey.
