Ruth Reitmeier serves as Senior Assistant Director for Coaching at the Doerr Institute for New Leaders with a professional focus on coach training. Ruth oversees the hiring, training, and managing of professional coaches who work directly with Rice students to increase their leadership capacity. Ruth has spoken to international audiences about the power of early intervention for emerging leaders and the proven effectiveness of leadership coaching. Her consulting work includes leader development, executive retreats, designing custom training programs and team goal setting. Ruth holds a PCC-level credential with the International Coaching Federation and is the Director of Training for CoachRICE, an ICF accredited program for leaders seeking to build their coaching skills and/or practice. She currently serves on a task force for the International Coaching Federation and is a member of the Association of Coach Training Organizations to elevate the quality of professional coach training around the world. Ruth graduated magna cum laude from Rice University with a double major in cultural anthropology and Latin American Studies. She is married to Tyler Reitmeier and has three grown children, Reagan, Avery Anne, and Reece.
