Howard Mah-Lee
Howard is a senior manager with the AICPA's Forensic and Valuation Services (FVS) section. He joined the AICPA in 2020 to oversee the recently launched Certified in Valuation of Financial Instruments (CVFI) credential, and help lead the AICPA Financial Instruments Advisory Group of external industry volunteers, comprised of over a dozen current expert valuation practitioners, and full-time university academics. Prior to joining the AICPA Howard spent over 20 years as a valuation and finance professional, including tenures with two Big 4 valuation and transaction advisory groups where he conducted ASC 350 / 805 / 820 and other valuations for traditional corporate, institutional banking, and private equity firms. His previous experience also includes domestic and international management strategy and operations consulting engagements for large corporate clients, and valuation analysis in the mortgage securities industry. He earned his MBA at Columbia Business School, BS in Business and Economics at California State University, Northridge, and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst, (CFA), Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst, (CAIA), and Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) credentials.
