Carey provides forensic accounting services and dispute consulting services to public and private sector clients. She assists counsel in all aspects of litigation and arbitration proceedings including document review and discovery, preparation of expert reports and deposition and trial assistance. Carey has extensive experience in auditing, internal controls evaluations, forensic accounting, and litigation consulting services. Her work frequently involves allegations of misstated financial statements, inadequate disclosures, auditor malpractice and director and officer liability. She has also participated in engagements involving breach of contract disputes, measurement of economic damages, employee fraud and defalcation, and other issues related to the interpretation and application of GAAP. Carey has worked with clients across a range of industries, including financial services, technology, retail, manufacturing, government, nonprofit, and professional services. She joined JS Held after nearly 6 years with Deloitte & Touche LLP where she provided audit services to clients in both the public and private sector. Carey graduated, _magna cum laude_, with a B.S. in Accounting from Messiah College and is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified in Financial Forensics.
