Brett is a Principal in Ernst & Young's Transaction Advisory Services - Real Estate group with over 20 years of experience in real estate consulting focusing on large real estate assets and portfolios. Brett is the leader of the Real Estate practice within EY's Strategy and Transactions team that focuses on valuation, diligence, corporate finance, and capital strategy. Brett has experience in portfolio and single-asset valuation, valuation review, transaction due diligence, asset monetization, loan portfolio reviews, portfolio optimization, and numerous other engagements. He is a regular speaker at both the AICPA and Appraisal Institute on topics such as valuation, trends, and ASC 805 "Business Combinations" and ASC 842 "Leases." Brett has significant experience working within the healthcare and senior housing sector, having completed and/or reviewed numerous portfolio valuations and diligence engagements.
