After graduating from the University of Florida with an LLM in Taxation, Doug began his professional career with a large regional law firm. As an attorney, Doug advised high net worth individuals on estate, trust and gifting matters, and other tax and legal matters related to generational wealth transfers. Since joining FORVIS's Private Client Services practice in 2009, Doug works extensively with individuals, families, financial planners, other attorneys, and trustees to devise optimal tax strategies for clients and their heirs. Doug is frequently asked to speak on topics such as estate tax planning, gift taxes, charitable trusts, and business succession planning.
