CASSANDRA SUMNER, CPA, CFE Cassandra Sumner is the Unit Chief of the FBI Forensic Accountant Unit headquartered in Washington, DC. She leads and oversees all forensic accountant operations. Ms. Sumner started her career with the FBI in 2012 in Chicago. As a Forensic Accountant and Supervisory Forensic Accountant, Ms. Sumner performed and supervised expert financial analysis that led to hundreds of successful criminal guilty pleas and convictions. Ms. Sumner has testified in several federal criminal trials, presenting significant financial summaries of evidence. Prior to her work at the FBI, Ms. Sumner worked in the public accounting (audit) and financial analysis fields. Ms. Sumner earned her Bachelor's in Accounting from Indiana University-Bloomington and her Master's in Accounting with a Concentration in Forensic Accounting from Florida Atlantic University.
