Rob Sistek is the Senior Managing Director of Investments for BKM Capital Partners, a commercial real estate investment firm that acquires, renovates, and manages light industrial properties through various funds and separately managed accounts. In this role, Mr. Sistek oversees the investment management responsibilities of the firm to ensure the investment strategies for each fund are executed with a focus on maximizing returns for investors. Mr. Sistek's responsibilities include leading the portfolio management function, as well as capital raising, structuring joint ventures and funds, and strategic planning for growth initiatives. He serves as Co-Chair of the firm's Investment Committee and holds an essential vote over investment decisions, and serves as Chair of the Valuation Committee. ​ Mr. Sistek came to BKM from Westcore Properties, where he most recently was the Chief Operating Officer responsible for the financial performance of Westcore's 10+ million square foot investment portfolio of industrial and office properties. Rob led the evaluation, analysis and implementation of strategic business plans of the assets, and the coordination of cross-functional resources to maximize profitability and achieve value creation targets. ​ Prior to Westcore Properties, Mr. Sistek held leadership positions in various industrial-focused real estate investment companies. He was the Chief Financial Officer & Executive Vice President, Investments for Innovative Industrial Properties, where he created and launched the company's real estate investment strategy and led the acquisitions, accounting, finance, treasury and investor relations functions. Mr. Sistek led the firm through a successful IPO and listing on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE: IIPR). Previously, Rob held the position of Senior Vice President, Investments for Biomed Realty Trust managing acquisitions, dispositions and joint ventures, leading the financial underwriting of investment opportunities and developing the structured finance program. Mr. Sistek's depth of capital markets expertise comes from his previous tenure at the Carlyle Group, DCT Industrial Trust and Prologis. ​ Mr. Sistek holds an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and bachelor's in business administration from the University of Northern Colorado. Rob has guest lectured for University of San Diego's Master's in Real Estate and San Diego State University's MBA graduate Program and serves as a member of AICPA Real Estate Committee.
