Pedro "Pete" Cordero is the Founder/Principal of Hacking The Cyber Threat LLC which specializes in providing cybersecurity leadership training and consulting services to executives.  Mr. Cordero is the creator of the Hacking The Cyber Threat Cybersecurity Leadership Program For Executives and author of two cybersecurity leadership books for business and law enforcement executives.

Since 2018, Mr. Cordero has served as an Executive-level Cybersecurity Consultant. Mr. Cordero has led board of director, audit committee, C-Suite, CIO, CISO, and Internal Audit cybersecurity insight sessions on cybersecurity risk management for large organizations representing most business sectors. Mr. Cordero has also provided clients with cybersecurity services (technical, advisory, and incident response), cybersecurity training to internal audit teams, and conducted reviews of cybersecurity incidents and cybersecurity forensic investigations.

Mr. Cordero retired from the FBI after serving 27 years as an FBI Special Agent, specializing in complex investigations in cybersecurity intrusions, counterterrorism, public corruption, and financial institution/Foreign Corrupt Practices Act fraud. During his FBI career, he served as an FBI Cyber Division Executive responsible for all FBI criminal and APT/Nation State cybersecurity intrusion investigations in the U.S. and abroad. Mr. Cordero also served as the Deputy Director of the FBI National Cyber Investigative Task Force (NCIJTF). During his final assignment at the FBI Academy, Mr. Cordero served as the FBI National Academy Cybersecurity Leadership Instructor where he designed, created, and taught an undergraduate and graduate level cybersecurity leadership course for three years. Mr. Cordero taught over 300 law enforcement executives from around the world on how to address the cyber threat at the strategic, operational, and tactical level.

Pete is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP), a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and holds multiple advanced SANS Global Information Assurance Certifications (GIAC) certifications in Penetration Testing (GCPN, GPEN, GWAPT, GMOB), Advanced Network Forensics, Threat Hunting, and Incident Response (GNFA), Hacker Techniques, Tools, and Incident Response (GCIH), and Industrial Control Visibility, Detection, and Response (GRID).
