Susan is a Partner in the Accounting Principles Group within Grant Thornton's National Office. Susan assists audit and accounting advisory engagement teams and clients with technical accounting issues, specializing in revenue recognition, stock compensation, and business combinations. Susan also plays a significant role in training Grant Thornton personnel as well as communicating technical updates to personnel and clients through bulletins, webcasts, and publications.

Susan was a Professional Accounting Fellow within the Office of the Chief Accountant (OCA) at the United States Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) from July 2018 through June 2020.

Susan's prior experience includes a 2.5-year secondment to Grant Thornton International Limited's (GTIL) IFRS Team, based in London, England. As part of the IFRS Team, Susan addressed technical accounting questions submitted to the GTIL IFRS Help Desk by Grant Thornton member firms' National Office leaders. Susan also developed and co-instructed the annual IFRS Training Program for Grant Thornton member firms' technical accounting personnel around the globe.

Susan received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from DePaul University, is a licensed CPA in Illinois and Virginia, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
