Amie Thuener is Vice President, Principal Accounting Officer and Corporate Controller for Alphabet. In this role, Amie is responsible for global external reporting, certifying the financial statements and financial operations. Additionally, Amie has a governance and oversight role for the non-Google Alphabet companies, collectively called "Other Bets", including overseeing annual budgets, managing compensation plans, structuring deals, and performing valuations.

Amie serves on the Nordstrom Board of Directors, where she sits on both the Audit and Technology committees. Amie is a member of FEI's Committee on Corporate Reporting where she serves as the FASB committee chair. She also serves on the board of Financial Executives International (FEI). She served on FASAC (Financial Accounting Standards Advisory Council) from 2017 to 2021. From 2013 to 2022, Amie served on the Girls Leadership's Board of Directors (as the co-Chair from 2019 to 2022), a national organization that equips girls with the skills to exercise the power of their voice. Amie graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a degree in Business Economics and Philosophy and is a CPA in California and a Chartered Global Management Accountant.

Prior to Google, Amie was Managing Director in PricewaterhouseCooper's Transaction Services Group where she served clients of all sizes and in a variety of industries, providing accounting consulting services. Over the course of her 16 year tenure with PwC, Amie worked in the audit practice in San Francisco, spent two years at the firm's National office, and worked in the firm's Transaction Services practice in New York and San Jose. Amie was also a Practice Fellow at the Financial Accounting Standards Board from 2004 to 2006, where she worked on projects such as Revenue Recognition and Fair Value Measurements.
