Hermitage Wealth Management, Inc.
As the Founder of Hermitage Wealth Management, Inc., Cory is a driving force behind the firm's vision to promote a higher standard of financial planning for the betterment of society. Cory began his career as a Financial Planner after earning his B.B.A. from James Madison University in 1999. Soon thereafter he pursued Certified Financial PlannerTM (CFP®) designation after realizing the importance of a disciplined process when rendering comprehensive financial advice. In the years that followed, he opened his own independent firm in Hermitage Wealth Management, which required more advanced licensing including becoming a Registered Principal. His work in corporate retirement plan consulting stemmed from a natural curiosity to improve what had become many households' largest asset, the 401(k) plan. He went on to earn the Certified 401(k) Planner or C(k)P™ designation through The Retirement Advisor University at UCLA Anderson School of Management Executive Education. In 2016 Cory completed his graduate degree, a Masters of Finance, Personal Financial Planning from the College for Financial Planning where he researched advanced planning concepts with renowned faculty and subject matter experts. Cory also holds the Accredited Investment Fiduciary AIF® designation, a professional certification that demonstrates an advisor serving as an investment fiduciary has met certain requirements to earn and maintain the credential and is currently working on the Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®) certification. In 2021, Cory was named to Retirement Plan Advisory Council (RPAC) for Advisor Group. Advisor Group is one of the largest networks of independent advisor firms in the country overseeing approximately $190 billion in assets. RPAC is comprised of a select group of advisors who specialize in retirement plans, are innovative and can lead by example with best practices for servicing clients and delivering results for participants. With a strong commitment to his community, Hoffer actively supports numerous charitable organizations and coaches youth sports. He and his wife, Janine, reside in Richmond, Virginia, and spend most of their time rearing three wonderful children.
