Lisa has over 25 years experience in tax planning and compliance for exempt organizations. Her experience includes serving as a technical resource and providing relevant guidance and assistance to exempt organizations and their donors. She has advised clients on issues relating to exemption applications, lobbying and political activities, qualified sponsorship activity, unrelated business income, private inurement and intermediate sanctions, taxable subsidiaries and related entities, state and local taxes, and foreign reporting. She has provided services to variety of tax-exempt organizations and their related entities, including hospitals and healthcare systems, research and educational organizations, social welfare organizations, trade associations, public charities, and private foundations. She also has experience working with small to midsized businesses and with individuals; this allows her to bridge the gap between tax-exempt organizations and for-profit operations. Lisa frequently writes and speaks on a variety of issues affecting tax-exempt organizations. She is an Associate Member of the AICPA's Exempt Organizations Technical Resource Panel.
