NANCY J GEENEN is the Visionary and CEO of Flexability, recognized for three consecutive years as a "Best for the World - Governance" by B Labs. In 2022, INC magazine recognized Flexability LLC as Best for Business - Management consulting. Nancy drives the culture and strategy of this social impact workplace consulting firm, building high performance teams through diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace. She believes that company culture drives growth and profitability. Nancy is known for her ability to simplify the complex in her strategy and scenario planning work, skills that served her well in managing risk in "bet the company" trials. Nancy leads by example with an exploratory mindset that creates opportunity for idea exchange and development of best practices in ESG, CSR, and DEI.

As a business leader, Nancy brings process and governance to every organization with which she works. She is often one of the first independent board members in privately held companies, with expertise in governance, compensation, and cybersecurity. Nancy developed her global equity lens while working in Geneva, Switzerland as a Senior Legal Officer at the United Nations. As the Office Managing Partner for the Northern California Offices of a global law firm, she successfully restructured the offices to profitability and doubled office revenues, during which time the SF Business Times named the San Francisco Office a Best Places to Work. Subsequently, Nancy founded and managed a trial consulting firm. She grew that organization to USD6 million in revenue in less than four years, after which she sold her equity position.

Nancy is an independent director at LHB, an architecture and design firm located in Minnesota. She also serves as the Secretary of the Golden Gate Business Association, the oldest LGBTQIA+ chamber of commerce in the US. As a board member of Galt Foundation, Nancy served on the executive committee for 10 years, chaired the Governance Committee, and served as a member of the Compensation Committees. At Nancy's departure, Galt Foundation was a USD30 million, self-sustaining 501(c) (3) focused on employment of individuals with disability. She also served two years as the interim CEO. During her tenure the organization expanded its geographic footprint, doubled its revenue and reserves, and expanded the board to 11 members from four founding members.

Nancy is a graduate of Harvard Business School - OPM 50, including a certificate from the Vice Provost Office in Cybersecurity Risk Managment. She holds a JD from Santa Clara University, School of Law, and a MA in Education and a BA in English both from Stanford University while earning Varsity letters in three sports. Nancy is licensed to practice in California and the District of Columbia. She serves as a panelist at the MassTLC Board Bootcamp and as a guest lecturer in the University of Wisconsin Business School. The SF Business Times named Nancy to the Bay Area Most Influential Women in Business for eight consecutive years and to the first class of its Hall of Fame.
