I have been a law enforcement officer for over 27 years. I have worked for the Davis County Sheriff's Office, Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office, University of Utah Department of Public Safety, Midvale Police Department, and the Utah Department of Public Safety State Bureau of Investigation. For four and one half of my 10 years at the Midvale Police Department, I was assigned to the Detective Division with the primary assignment of Financial Crimes. During that time, I also investigated incidents of Homicide, Kidnapping, Aggravated Assault, Suicide, Unattended Death, Robbery, Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, Drug Trafficking, and more.

For the past more than 14 years at the Utah Department of Public Safety State Bureau of Investigation, I have been assigned to Major Crimes which was previously known as Special Investigations and the Threat Management Unit. I have investigated instances of Homicide, Suicide, Unattended Death, Assault, Aggravated Assault, Domestic Violence, Stalking, Threats, Robbery, Kidnapping, Sexual Assault, Fraud, Cyber Crime, Public Corruption, Identity Theft, Civil Rights Violations, Weapons Offenses, Gang and Organized Crime, Vehicle Crashes, Drug Trafficking, Drug Possession, Officer Involved Critical Incidents, and more.

I have been assigned to various task forces and teams including the Midvale Police Department Major Crash Team, Officer Involved Critical Incident Team led by the Salt Lake City Police Department, Utah Child Abduction Response Team, FBI Mortgage Fraud Task Force, FBI Securities Fraud Task Force, FBI Public Corruption Task Force, Utah Cybercrime Task Force, and the ATF Project Safe Neighborhoods Task Force.  I have a Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Columbia College of Missouri.
