Stephanie leads the International Services practice group at Belfint, Lyons & Shuman, an IPA Top 300 firm located in Wilmington, Delaware. The team provides U.S. international tax compliance and advisory services to businesses and individuals for both inbound (Foreign Direct Investment) and outbound foreign investments. Foreign clients experience a comprehensive approach to starting a foreign-managed business in the U.S. and its ongoing compliance requirements; and appreciate the team's unique benefit of a local Delaware presence with a global reach through the its PrimeGlobal connections. Stephanie has been published in local trade magazines including _Delaware Banker _and featured on an AICPA podcast. She has been invited to speak at the IRS Small Practitioner's Annual Tax Forum; the AICPA's ENGAGE Conference; the Delaware Tax Institute; the PrimeGlobal World, North American and Latin American National Tax Conferences; as well as private speaking engagements in the U.K. and Germany to entrepreneurs on expanding to the U.S. market. As a member of the AICPA International Tax Resource Panel, she has co-authored numerous letters to the IRS in support of efficient international tax administration and taxpayer education. She serves as Treasurer of the World Trade Center of Delaware, and Board Member for the Wilmington Tax Group and is a member of the Delaware and Pennsylvania Societies of CPAs. Stephanie earned the International Baccalaureate degree from St. Petersburg High School, and received both her B.A. in Accounting (Honors Program, summa cum laude) and her Masters of Accountancy from the University of West Florida. Stephanie enjoys traveling to immerse in other cultures and experience their culinary traditions. In her free time she can be found hiking, practicing Bikram yoga and attending wine tastings with her husband. She lives in Wilmington, DE with her family and three rescue dogs, adopted from the Humane Animal Partners of Delaware.
