Laura is part of Deloitte Tax's Washington National Tax Estate, Gift, Trust and Charitable Group. In her role, Laura serves as technical subject matter specialist on national engagements, assisting ultra-high net worth families to determine the most effective way to achieve their personal, wealth transfer, and charitable objectives. She has specific experience in pre-mortem estate tax reviews, audit readiness assessments, post-mortem planning, estate administration, and fiduciary income taxation. Laura also co-leads Deloitte's national gift tax designated reviewer apprenticeship program. She has a passion for teaching and has developed and facilitated estate, gift, trust, and individual income tax courses for all levels of Deloitte Tax. Laura is a contributor to Peebles and Janes, 822-3rd T.M., Estate, Gift and Generation-Skipping Tax Returns and has authored the following articles: "Potential Pitfalls of Charitable Contribution Substantiation and Reporting." Outside of Deloitte, Laura has been married to her husband, Walter, since 2004. They have 4 young children who keep them busy with baseball games and boundless energy. Laura loves to read sci-fi, play disc golf, and try new recipes in the kitchen.
