"There are only two types of companies: Those that have been hacked and those that will be hacked."

Robert S. Mueller, Ill, Former Director of the FBI

The average cybersecurity breach costs U.S. companies $9.44 million. An attack can make almost every level of a company's organization vulnerable, which makes your personnel, technology, and operations challenging to defend. Given the threat of today's sophisticated cyber actors and the crucial importance of protecting information, cybersecurity must be treated as a vital component of any successful business today.

Pedro "Pete" Cordero is the Founder/Principal of Hacking The Cyber Threat LLC which specializes in providing cybersecurity leadership consulting services to board of directors, senior executives, and leadership teams.

Pete has created an 8-hour 15 module online cybersecurity leadership program to enhance an executive's cybersecurity leadership skills to more effectively conduct their oversight and governance responsibilities of their organization's risk management program. This cyber leadership program is also available to executive teams in a 3 day in person program format.

Pete has served as a cybersecurity executive in both the FBI and the private sector since 2010. Pete also provided clients with cybersecurity services (technical, advisory, and incident response), cybersecurity training to internal audit teams, and conducted reviews of cybersecurity incidents and cybersecurity forensic investigations.

Pete retired from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) after serving 27 years as an FBI Special Agent, specializing in complex investigations in cybersecurity intrusions, counterterrorism, public corruption, and financial institution/Foreign Corrupt Practices Act fraud. During his FBI career, Pete served as an FBI Cyber Division Executive responsible for all FBI criminal and national security cybersecurity intrusion investigations in the United States and abroad. Pete served as the Deputy Director of the FBI National Cyber Investigative Task Force (NCIJTF), a unique multi-agency cyber center with the primary responsibility of coordinating, integrating, and sharing information to support national and international cyber threat investigations. During his final assignment at the FBI Academy, Pete served as the FBI National Academy Cybersecurity Leadership Instructor.
