Jorge is currently the Head of Security Americas for the Volvo Group. Prior to Volvo, Jorge was the Regional Security Manager LATAM for Novo Nordisk, one of the larger Nordic companies within the health sector. Jorge has more than 12 years of experience working for pharmaceutical companies such as Wyeth and AstraZeneca, being responsible for people, product, information and assets security.

After having worked for the Colombian National Police (CNP) for 21 years, Jorge started his corporate career in 2006 as Security Manager North Andes Region (Colombia, Peru and Ecuador) at Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, where he was responsible for implementing and conducting security operations and product investigations for all the business divisions within the company, including product supply. In 2010, after the acquisition of Wyeth by Pfizer, Jorge accepted a new challenge at AstraZeneca to assume as Investigations Manager for Latin America region, where he was in charge of implementing and conducting product security investigations. 

He became a police officer by the General Santander Police School, Colombia (1988), reaching the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in 2005, when he retired to pursue a career in the private sector. His education includes the Security Executive Development Program at the Wharton School, a Specialization in Managerial Skills from ADEN International Business School and holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration by the Escuela de Administración de Negocios - EAN, Colombia (2004).
