As Vice President and Wealth Strategist, Oscar leads the deep and dynamic discovery process to achieve a mutual understanding of his clients, their families, businesses and financial goals to determine what is truly important to his clients in achieving peace of mind. He works with clients and their advisors to develop a strategic financial plan which integrates their financial, estate, tax and philanthropic considerations and preferences. Oscar identifies and prioritizes client objectives and together with his team develops tailored solutions to help achieve them. He has the high level of technical experience in complex estate, tax and wealth planning issues to help bring about successful outcomes as his client's trusted advisor. Prior to joining PNC Private Bank, Oscar worked at PEACE Wealth Management, an independent Registered Investment Advisor firm, Deloitte & Touche, one of the largest accounting firms in the world, and The Della Porta Group, a full-service financial services agency. While at the University of North Florida, Oscar was a member of the Osprey Financial Group, where he helped to invest a portion of the University's Endowment as an equity analyst. Oscar is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). He is the current chair of the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) Credential Committee and is on the AICPA's PFP committee for the Engage conference. Oscar is on the Audit Committee of the Hillsborough Education Foundation, where he also serves as a mentor in the "Take Stock in Children" program. Oscar graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting and financial planning from the University of North Florida. Oscar holds the Certified Public Accountant, Personal Financial Specialist, Certified Financial Planner TM , and Certified Exit Planning Advisor designations. Through his involvement in national organizations, Oscar has been quoted in various financial outlets including CNBC, Financial Advisor Magazine, The Journal of Accountancy, Investopedia, US News and The Street. Further, he's presented nationwide on various financial/retirement planning topics. Outside of work, Oscar loves spending time with his family and three children. He enjoys dancing salsa, watching romantic comedies with his wife, and volunteering in their church doing bible studies.
