Biz2Credit
Rohit Arora, CEO of Biz2Credit [https://www.biz2credit.com/], is one of America's top experts in small business lending and the use of FinTech to streamline the funding process. In 2011, he was named New York City's "Top Entrepreneur" by Crain's New York Business, which has named Biz2Credit among NYC's "Fast 50" multiple times. In 2012, he was invited to the White House by the President's Council of Economic Advisors to update economists on matters related to small business lending. He has also met with top executives from the Federal Reserve, the SBA, the FDIC, and Comptroller of the Currency. After discovering that language and cultural barriers hindered the ability of immigrants from the South Asian community to secure funding from traditional banks, he and his brother, Ramit, founded the company to help these business owners gain access to capital. Since its inception in 2007, Biz2Credit has now helped tens of thousands of companies obtain more than $5 billion in funding. A significant percentage of that figure came as an approved Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) lender in 2020-21. Biz2Credit was one of only a few FinTech companies approved by the SBA to process loan requests during the COVID pandemic and was among the program's top processers. Rohit is a frequently quoted source on banking and technology trends, the emergence of institutional investors in small business finance, convergence in payments and funding companies, and other topics. He is often quoted by NY Times, Washington Post, The Wall St. Journal, Bloomberg, CNBC, Fox Business, and American Banker, among others. He also contributes a weekly column about small business finance topics for Forbes. He also has written for CNBC, Inc., the New York Daily News, and others. Rohit is a frequent speaker at top industry events, including LendIt, AltFi, and Frontiers of Digital Finance, which Biz2Credit co-sponsored with Columbia University. Additionally, he produces the Biz2Credit Small Business Lending Index, a widely reported monthly analysis of loan approval rates. He also oversees the frequently cited studies: the Top 25 Small Business Cities in America, an annual Latino Lending Report, and an annual Women in Small Business Study. Previously, Rohit worked for Deloitte Consulting, Goldman Sachs, and Silkroute, a Singapore-based private equity fund. He holds a master's degree in International Finance from Columbia University.
