Wynde Jones firmly believes in the transformative power of education both inside and outside of the classroom. Her over 25 years in higher education student affairs are grounded by her passion for making a difference in the lives of others. Wynde retired from The University of Southern Mississippi as the Assistant Vice President for Student Connections and started a new adventure at Louisiana State University. She is a faculty member at LSU in the School of Leadership and Human Resource Development. Her Ph.D. is in Human Capital Development and she enjoys teaching on the topics of leadership development, change management, team dynamics and diversity, equity, and inclusion. In addition to her current experiences, previous professional posts have allowed her to gain a diversified background in crisis management, event planning, student retention, and social justice. Wynde has advised, taught, and mentored thousands of college students over her career in higher education. Wynde has held various positions on boards of directors, councils, coalitions, and committees where she has served others. She has been recognized for her leadership and service over the years as the 2016 Peggy Jean Carter Heart of Hattiesburg Award, the 2012 Delta Gamma Cable Award, and the 2008 recipient of the Wesley Medical Center Strong Woman Award.
