Jamie Yesnowitz is a Principal serving as the State and Local Tax (SALT) leader within Grant Thornton's Washington National Tax Office. In this role, he serves as a national technical resource for Grant Thornton's SALT practice, devoting significant time to client matters. He follows current developments and hot topics in the SALT world, including state corporate income and sales tax legislation and policy, state tax conformity to federal tax provisions, state reaction to _Wayfair_, state corporate income tax apportionment rules and filing methods, and trends and developments. Jamie has over twenty-four years of broad-based SALT consulting experience at the national and practice office levels in large public accounting firms in Washington, DC and New York. Prior to entering the field of public accounting, Jamie practiced law as a corporate and securities attorney in New York. As a member of the AICPA, Jamie has served as a member of the AICPA Tax Executive Committee, is a past Chair of the AICPA SALT Technical Resource Panel and is a recipient of the AICPA's 2020 Jonathan Horn Distinguished Service Award.
