Joshua Stein
Josh Stein serves as vice president of accounting and financial management for the American Bankers Association. In this role, Stein is responsible for analyzing changes to accounting and financial reporting standards, leading various accounting-related committees and task forces, and identifying association policy positions that reflect industry input. He works closely with FASB and regulators to help bankers understand and implement policies and regulations related to bank accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, and capital management. Stein began his career as an auditor for KPMG with a focus on financial institutions. He later worked as an analyst and inspector for the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB), followed by an accounting policy role with The Carlyle Group, before joining ABA in October 2017.
