As Managing Partner of White Deer, Joe Bob Edwards oversees sourcing and managing new investments while sharing responsibility for the firm's strategy and direction.

Prior to joining White Deer in 2011, Joe Bob spent 13 years at First Reserve Corporation where he was the head of First Reserve's oilfield service and equipment investment team, which at its peak oversaw over $4 billion in equity investments.

He currently sits on the boards of Axios, Cust-O-Fab, Extract, Flogistix, Fortress, Global Petro Storage (GPS), LongPath, Midstream Texas, Quanah, TorcSill and Unicat.

He also currently serves as the Co-Chair of the KBH Energy Center for Business, Law and Policy at the University of Texas at Austin. Joe Bob is past President and board member of the Episcopal High School Dad's Club and has spent a number of years as volunteer coach and board member of Post Oak Little League.
