Jim oversees the firm's delivery of ESG & Sustainability services. In this role he develops strategies and reporting solutions to help companies implement a comprehensive sustainability program. He is the chair of the Assurance Services Executive Committee, a senior technical committee of the of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants that focuses on matters affecting the accounting profession such as sustainability, control reporting, and innovation. ​

​Jim has led numerous projects around ESG and sustainability reporting, including the computation and disclosure of GHG emissions across numerous industries. His 34-years of audit experience focused mostly on public companies and internal control allows Jim to bring a robust understanding of compliance frameworks and how to achieve high-quality reporting.​

​Jim is a frequent speaker on ESG and assurance topics and a source for journalists seeking input on ESG, internal control, governance, and attest matters. Jim is a CPA (CO, CA) and holds a credential in the Fundamentals of Sustainability Accounting from the IFRS Foundation (formerly SASB). He is Certified in Integrated Resource Management from the Association for Supply Chain Management, and he has completed the ESG Essentials and the ESG for Finance Professionals programs from the Wharton Executive Education Program at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
