Eric LoPresti is a tax attorney with over 20 years of experience advising individuals, corporations, and policymakers. In his current role on the Senate Finance Committee Tax Team his portfolio includes IRS oversight and tax administration. He has had the privilege of assisting with the American Rescue Plan Act, the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, the Inflation Reduction Act, SECURE 2.0, the IRS Whistleblower Improvement Act, and the Wyden Pass-through Reform Discussion Draft. Before coming to the Hill, Eric spent 17 years as a Senior Attorney Advisor to the National Taxpayer Advocate, a role that gave him the opportunity to mentor colleagues, lead teams, help taxpayers, teach, and write dozens of legislative recommendations and research studies. Prior to joining the government, he spent 6 years as an associate at a global law firm. With two daughters in college, Eric is a bike and dog lover.
