Hugh is CEO of The Link [https://www.thelink.ai/], a software company dedicated to making construction documents consumable for the field though innovative use of AI, and deep knowledge of specifications. Prior to The Link, Hugh served as a general manager at the Construction Specifications Institute. Hugh began his career translating specifications for welding wire for Taiwanese engineers, and has been passionate about ensuring problem solvers have the information they need ever since. Whether it's TV production for Pepsi in China, or mechanical specifications for a building in Colorado, many of the same issues apply. This interest in empowering problem solvers has found its natural expression in modern artificial intelligence, where Hugh has led teams building products in eLearning, machine vision, and now LLMs. Hugh lives in Austin, Texas with his dog, Bob.
