My name is Trina Rozen. I am a solo CPA tax practitioner in South Pasadena, California. In addition to loving tax returns, I am passionate about helping fellow small firm owners reform their business operations so they can thrive with their existing tax practices instead of throwing in the towel and leaving the profession. I believe that small tax practices can be profitable and valuable business models for their owners and reject the idea of advisory services as the ultimate solution for thriving as a small firm. I am personally upset that young people don't want to join the profession because of bad rep of endless grind and burn out and people in the profession are leaving in droves. There is just not enough of us left, especially tax practitioners. I don't think of myself as a coach, a guru or a consultant, rather a practical solutions implementor for small accounting Firms. I help you make reforms in your business that really make a difference so you can enjoy being a tax CPA. I care about results achieved through simple and tried business strategies. I love all things self-improvement and can spend endless hours on applying them to the practice of tax and accounting As most of us, when I started out on my own, I was a naïve rookie optimist, a people pleaser, and embodied all things to all people way of business. I got caught on a treadmill of more for the sake of more. It has been a struggle, a treacherous journey, and a very lonely one. I went through the entire spectrum of owning a firm. I started out as serve all who come through the door generalist. I bought two practices within 18 months, I sold a book of business, I fired clients, I raised my prices, implemented systems from scratch, hired employees, fired employees. What makes me qualified to help other accountants? For starters, I've designed a pretty damn good accounting practice where I practice what I love with clients that I love.
