Charles Mondesir
Charles Mondesir is Vice President, Controller and Chief Accounting Officer of Northwestern Mutual and is a finance executive with extensive leadership experience in the insurance industry. Prior to joining Northwestern Mutual, he served as the Global Controller for Chubb's International Life Insurance segment where he led the accounting, treasury, and finance operations. Prior to joining Chubb, he held several roles at Prudential, across Controllership and Financial Planning and Analysis. He also held numerous finance roles at Guardian Life and American International Group (AIG). He began his career as an auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and KPMG, where he credits his keen focus on documentation and controls.
Charles received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Temple University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), graduated from the AICPA Leadership Academy and is a member of the AICPA CFO Conference Planning Committee. He is also a member of the National Association of Black Accounts (NABA) and participated in NABA-NY's Professional Development Committee.
Charles was born in Haiti and raised on Long Island, New York, where he currently resides. He loves to spend his leisure time with his wife, Tira and their two children.
