Wendy provides sustained leadership, advice, and coordination to an accomplished clientele, helping them to deploy their wealth more thoughtfully and strategically. She offers extensive knowledge of the art and luxury markets, enabling clients to combine their passion for collecting with an appreciation for the opportunities these asset classes can provide. Deeply experienced in fine art, wine, watches, jewelry, and classic automobiles, Wendy understands the relational dynamics posed by these markets. She supports clients in navigating the acquisition financing, curation, intergenerational transfer, and sale of these assets, as well as having a strong network within the art auction and collecting worlds. Prior to joining Bank of America Private Bank, Wendy was the Principal of Art Strategy Partners, a consultancy to high-net-worth individuals, family offices, private equity firms, and hedge funds, where she oversaw collection management, art acquisitions and divestments, art finance, legacy planning, and art negotiations. Wendy founded the company after nearly a decade in various executive positions at Christie's auction house in New York, London, and Hong Kong. While at Christie's, Wendy was responsible for developing the strategies and deal structures of $1 billion+ in annual global art transactions, including all legal and due diligence matters. Additionally, while at Christie's, Wendy pioneered and raised approximately $500 million from a major private equity firm for "reverse mortgage loans" against art, in addition to managing numerous relationships with internal clients and external art collectors and their advisors. She also created and managed Christie's Art Finance department and was on the executive team managing all major auction consignments. Prior to her time at Christie's, Wendy served as a key member of the executive team at Cendant Corporation (a former Fortune 100 company) in its corporate spin-off and subsequent IPO on the NY Stock Exchange. Earlier in her career, she was the Managing Director of the world's largest real estate brokerage licensor, RE/MAX, and was based in Zurich, Switzerland where she worked and lived for six years. Wendy speaks publicly on the topics of art collecting, art transactions and legal matters, art finance, guarantees, advances, auction default swaps, and the art market, generally, and has been a visiting faculty member in Art, Business and Law at Christie's Education, as well as having been a faculty member for the New York State Bar on the topic of the art world. She has a degree in Political Science and Economics from James Madison University and a law degree from George Mason University School of Law, along with bar memberships in New York, New Jersey, and Virginia. In her free time, she enjoys golfing, skiing, traveling, and spending time with her daughter, Evelyn, who is a third-year student at The University of Chicago.
