Liz is a CMA, CPA (inactive), the Head of Finance for a modern family office & serves as the CFO of Optimism, a fast growing inbox first digital publisher with over 20 brands in its portfolio. Liz also founded She Speaks Numbers, a coaching organization that empowers rising finance leaders to elevate their message through strategic storytelling and effective communication. Previously Liz served as CFO of a high growth digital marketing agency & also provided fractional CFO services to VC backed startups moving from their seed to series A rounds. Beginning her career in Big 4 public accounting at EY, transitioning to private and eventually landing with start ups, Liz has vast experience with both small and large organizations, public and private and has scaled startups to successful 8 & 9 figure exits in numerous industries. Liz holds her Masters in Accounting and a BS in Analytical Finance both from Wake Forest University.
