Effective June 1, 2024, Jere assumed the role of CEO, Baker Tilly US, LLP, one of the largest public accounting firms in the United States. Prior to this role, he had been the Managing Partner, Assurance and Risk for Baker Tilly, overseeing all aspects of the audit and assurance practice, as well as overseeing the firm's office of general counsel. He was appointed the Chair of the Private Company Council as of January 1, 2023. He is also served as a member of the AICPA's Auditing Standards Board, from 2016 to 2019. Currently he serves on the advisory committee for the AICPA's Dynamic Audit Solution methodology. For the last 40 years, he has been heavily involved in all aspects of financial reporting as an auditor, as a chief financial officer and as an advisor to private and public companies on adopting, implementing and complying with the standards.
