Tracey Walker
Tracey Walker is a catalyst for courage. As the Board Chair of the Institute for Corporate Courage (ICC), her work transforms organizational cultures by infusing courage into leadership practices. Tracey leads this global mission, bringing together great minds, and forward-leaning best practices, to enable corporate change, leader development, belonging and accelerated growth. Named to the nation’s Top 25 Women in Consulting in 2024, her expertise lies in organizational behavior, people-centric processes, and driving business outcomes. Tracey is the current Chief Diversity Officer at Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) the global business advisory firm and plays a pivotal leadership role shaping inclusion-empowered success. A&M is globally recognized for its expertise in turnaround management and performance improvement for some of the world’s most prominent and complex missions such as the largest bankruptcy in American history, Lehman Brothers, as well as Tribune Company, Target, Darden Restaurants and led the wind down of Arthur Andersen. Tracey’s leadership is instrumental in driving inclusion for this important financial organization which serves across offices spanning six continents.
Tracey is a leadership, performance and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) subject-matter expert. With a 20-year career spanning public accounting, legislative affairs, and business advisory roles, she has spent her career solving corporate challenges for clients delivering inclusion compliance, DE&I training implementation and infrastructure strategy. She serves on several boards and commissions for DEI nationally. An in-demand thought leader, she presents lectures annually at the nation’s top business schools and trade organizations. She is certified in Diversity and Inclusion as an Advanced Practitioner from the Cornell University School of Industrial and labor Relations (ILR) and completed her graduate work with honors at the Harvard Business School in Organizational Behavior.

Enterprise Leadership and Culture Experience
Tracey is also a former enterprise leader within a top five accounting firm, as Chief Culture Diversity and Inclusion (CDI) Officer. She has spearheaded national diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, fostering an inclusive culture thousands of domestic employees across offices in the US, India, South America, and Canada. Tracey also played a pivotal role in enhancing cultural effectiveness through her involvement with the AICPA National Commission for Diversity and Inclusion. Her leadership extended to governing C-suite Inclusion and Employee Network Councils, as well as Employee Network Groups (ENGs) within talent programs. Additionally, she facilitated corporate partnerships with diverse professional organizations and championed community impact through the CDI Impact Fund.
Previously, as a Federal Financial Services Sector Leader, Tracey led specialized financial advisory teams, addressing complex technical needs for federal agency clients in areas such as lending, compliance, financial management, reporting, risk, and technology. With years of federal and state government solution and legislative affairs experience, she served as a registered corporate representative before state legislatures, federal agencies, and Congressional lawmaking officials. Tracey’s career began as a corporate representative before the Illinois and New York State legislatures, focusing on Intellectual Property, Franchise Law, and Education matters.
